FT Technologies appoints Kurz Wind as North American distributor

FT Technologies, manufacturer of acoustic resonance wind sensors for wind turbine control, has signed a non-exclusive aftermarket distribution agreement with Kurz Wind. Under this agreement, Kurz will retain a stock of FT Technologies’ wind sensors to enable rapid deployment to wind turbine operators throughout North America.

Gordon Bease, FT’s Director of North American Wind Accounts, said “Kurz Wind is recognized as a major supplier of replacement parts and upgraded components to the wind energy industry. They have an excellent reputation, and we are happy to onboard them as an Approved FT Distributor.”

Jay Austin, VP of Wind at Kurz, added “FT Technologies are the dominant manufacturer of wind sensors for turbine control, used on a very large number of our customers’ assets. Using our sales and distribution network, we will be able to supply FT wind sensors in a timely manner, helping to balance supply/demand and reduce downtime.”
