APQP4Wind appoints FT Technologies Senior Quality Engineer as UK Country Ambassador
APQP4Wind, the non-profit association founded by wind turbine manufacturers and suppliers to develop a quality assurance standard within the Wind Industry, has appointed Arefeh Taghikhani as its new Country Ambassador for the UK. Arefeh is Senior Quality Engineer at FT Technologies, the manufacturer of ultrasonic wind sensors which supplies the leading turbine manufacturers globally.
Country Ambassadors are selected to represent APQP4Wind in specific markets to strengthen the familiarity and knowledge of the APQP4Wind concept. The Ambassador chosen in each country is available to help those interested in the APQP4Wind implementation process with technical expertise and practical information.
Having attended both the APQP4Wind Management Awareness and Specialist Training programmes, Arefeh is well placed to share her experience with other companies.
“Introducing APQP4Wind into FT Technologies has entailed a real culture change and we have learned a lot,” said Arefeh Taghikhani. “I am looking forward to sharing our experiences here at FT with other people who are looking to implement APQP4Wind in their organisation. We have done a full review and have now launched a new business landscape with better validation procedures for both products and processes. We have an internal steering group that meets once a month and are working on documenting all PPAP information for standard processes. We have even held a Supplier Conference to engage them in our adoption of the APQP4wind policy.”
