On this day we mark the contribution that wind energy makes to the planet, its power, and the possibilities it holds to reshape our energy systems, decarbonise our economies and boost jobs and growth. FT Technologies, manufacturer of the world’s toughest wind sensors, is a major player in the wind industry with FT wind sensors powering nearly half of the world’s installed wind turbine fleet.
Along with leading scholars from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, FT's Gordon Bease, Director - Global Accounts, has co-authored a paper entitled "Development of a sensor suite for atmospheric boundary layer measurement with a small multirotor unmanned aerial system" which has been published in International Journal of Aviation, Aeronautics, and Aerospace.

FT Technologies has implemented a company-wide policy to introduce APQP4Wind quality standards throughout their entire management system, product design processes and component supply chain. Implementation of the APQP4Wind Policy will see the company transition towards full adoption of the APQP4Wind framework by 2020 for all new and existing product development.

FT Technologies today launches the first in a new generation of lightweight ultrasonic wind sensors, specifically designed for use on drones and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).
FT Technologies' factory in Sunbury-on-Thames hosted the launch of the UK offshore wind industry's Supply Chain Review led by former McLaren Group CEO.
Recent updates to FT Technologies 722 and 742 digital wind sensors mean that these models can now read acoustic temperature as well as wind speed and wind direction.
